On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great privilege and pleasure to welcome you to the third Accelerated Development of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery—ADOMS 3—held here at the Hilton Hotel, Bandung, from the 1st to the 7th of December 2025.
We gather under the theme “Current and Comprehensive TMJ and Related Skeletal Treatment.” The temporomandibular joint lies at the very intersection of function, aesthetics, and quality of life. Advances in diagnosis, imaging, biomaterials, surgical technique, orthodontic biomechanics, and rehabilitative care now allow us to address TMJ and associated skeletal disorders with unprecedented precision and interdisciplinarity. This symposium aims to survey those advances critically, to identify gaps in knowledge, and—most importantly—to foster collaboration across borders, specialties, and generations of clinicians and scientists.
Our scientific programme spans seven intensive days, featuring plenary lectures by world‑renowned authorities, focused panel discussions, live surgical demonstrations, hands‑on workshops, and young‑investigator fora. We are honoured by the representing oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, prosthodontics, radiology, pain medicine, biomedical engineering, and basic science. Your collective expertise constitutes the very foundation of the symposium’s value, and we thank each of you for investing your time, intellect, and passion in this endeavour.
I wish to acknowledge with gratitude:
Bandung, famed for its academic heritage and hospitality, offers an inspiring backdrop for scholarly exchange. I encourage you to enjoy the city’s cultural
richness while forging the professional networks that will
drive progress long after this symposium concludes.
In closing, I invite you to participate actively—ask probing questions, share candid insights, and challenge established notions—so that together we may advance the art and science of temporomandibular and skeletal treatment for the ultimate benefit of our patients.
Thank you, and I wish you a productive, inspiring, and memorable symposium.
